SALT LAKE CITY (September 1, 2008) - The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announced today that the club has recalled infielder Kendry Morales from Triple-A Salt Lake.
Morales, 24, has appeared in 78 games for the Bees in 2008, hitting .341 with 19 doubles, 15 home runs and 64 RBI. In six games for the Angels this season, he hit .250 with two singles. Originally signed by the Halos in 2004, the Cuban native hit .294 with four home runs and 15 RBI in 43 games for the Angels in 2007.
The 2008 Pacific North Division Champion Salt Lake Bees conclude the 2008 regular season tonight on the road against the Tucson Sidewinders at 7:00 p.m. Playoff tickets for Friday, September 5 are on sale now at the Franklin Covey Field box office, at slbees.com and at select Ticket Master locations.
