Radio: Fox Sports Radio AM 1340, RedHawks Radio Network | Play-by-Play: Jim Byers
TODAY'S MATCHUP RH Brian Gordon (1-2, 4.22) vs. RH Josh Muecke (7-7, 4.03)

Muecke: Surrendered 4 R on 5 H over 6.0 IP with 5 K & 1 BB in 7/08 loss @ IWA (8-2 IWA)
LAST GAME: The RedHawks plated four second inning runs to stake Tommy Hunter, who pitched seven shutout innings in Oklahoma's 7-1 win Saturday night. Ryan Roberts and Emerson Frostad hit home runs in the second inning to build up the early lead. Hunter (1-1) struck out five and scattered four hits during his outing.
FINE START FOR FROSTAD: Emerson Frostad hit a two-run home run in his first Triple-A at bat. The Canadian-born catcher hit a one ball, two strike pitch to centerfield, scoring Casey Benjamin in the process. Frostad hit five home runs in 261 at bats for Double-A Frisco this year.
HUNTER THE HORSE:
Tommy Hunter has notched quality starts in each of his first three chances for the RedHawks since his promotion from Frisco on July 1. Hunter lowered his ERA to 2.01 for Oklahoma with seven shutout innings last night. The right-hander has pitched 133.0 combined innings between Bakersfield, Frisco and Oklahoma this season, more than any other pitcher in the Minor Leagues this season, and trails only Roy Halladay (146.1), Aaron Cook (138.2), and Cole Hamels (135.2) in all of professional baseball.
FUTURES FUN:
Taylor Teagarden came on as a defensive replacement in this afternoon's Futures Game at Yankee Stadium. The RedHawks catcher took over behind the plate in the fourth inning, and completed the second half of a double play. Jess Todd (Springfield Cardinals) struck out Luke Hughes (New Britain Rock Cats) with Pablo Sandoval (Connecticut Defenders) running on the pitch. Teagarden's throw to second was on target as Sandoval was caught stealing. Teagarden walked in his only trip to the plate.
WEEKEND WARRIORS AND WOES:
Oklahoma improved to 12-5 on Saturdays this season with last night's win. The RedHawks, however, enter play tonight with a 5-10 mark on Sundays. Oklahoma has more wins on Saturday than any other day of the week, and more losses on Sunday than any other day.
GORDON GOES HOME:
Brian Gordon makes his return to Round Rock tonight to face his former team in a spot start. The right-hander went to Round Rock High School and played in the Astros organization for the past two seasons, converting to the mound from the outfield at the start of last season. Gordon made one relief appearance for Corpus Christi earlier this year prior to being released by Houston and signed by Texas. Gordon has made three spot starts and nine total appearances for Oklahoma since his promotion from Frisco on June 9. His pitched six shutout innings in his most recent start on Tuesday and struck out eight Isotopes. The eight strikeouts match the second best performance from any RedHawk this season, duplicating the feat Eric Hurley and Robinson Tejeda each achieved twice.
AROUND THE ORGANIZATION:
Texas fell 9-7 to the Chicago White Sox... Frisco beat Corpus Christi 7-2... Bakersfield upended Visalia 6-4... Clinton scored four unanswered runs to beat Quad Cities 4-1... Spokane doubled up Vancouver 4-2.
DOT-DOT-DOT:
Taylor Teagarden was placed on the temporary inactive list yesterday as he left the RedHawks to travel to New York City for this afternoon's Futures Game... Current Rangers prospect Elvis Andrus reached on a fielders choice in the first inning and scored the first run of the game. Andrus went 0-1 with a walk while he was in the game... Monday's game at Round Rock will be televised locally on FSN Southwest. The program will start at 7 pm. It will be the first RedHawks road game ever broadcast back to the Oklahoma City area. Jim Byers will handle to play-by-play duties for the broadcast.
