HEAD COACHES: Jeff Jarnigan enters his second season as head coach of the Yard Dawgz. Last season he led the team to a 10-6 regular season record and a first round playoff appearance. Prior to taking over the head coaching duties in Oklahoma City, Coach Jarnigan served as the defensive coordinator for the Austin Wranglers (AFL) during the 2004 season. From 2001 through 2003 Coach Jarnigan was the defensive coordinator for the Arkansas Twisters. Under his defense the team won two National Conference Central Division Championships and the ArenaCup in 2003.
John Gregory became the third coach in Twisters' history with coaching experience spanning five decades as a line coach, offensive coordinator, head coach, and general manager. Gregory is known around arena football for developing quarterbacks, having recruited and developed current Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner. Gregory recruited Warner to the Iowa Barnstormers of the AFL in the mid-90's when Warner was out of football. Warner became one of the AFL's best passers and developed into one of the greatest Cinderella stories in sports history. Warner was later signed by the St. Louis Rams of the NFL and eventually won a Super Bowl championship and league MVP award.
LAST SERIES MEETING: The Arkansas Twisters lost to the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz 48-71 on April 9, 2005 in North Little Rock.

THIS WEEK'S QUOTES:
JEFF JARNIGAN, on Arkansas: "... I have a lot of respect for the Twisters' coaching staff... they have an extremely talented coach who has been around arena football for a long time..... this will be one of our toughest games of the season...Arkansas has a terrific fan base."
DROPBACK: Head Coach Jeff Jarnigan had no doubt that his team would finish on top against Tulsa last week. The interstate rivalry has become one of the biggest match-ups between both teams. Quarterback, Craig Strickland tied his own record for most touchdown passes in a game with 10 and became the first quarterback in af2 history to pass for 20,000 yards. The Yard Dawgz set a franchise record with most points scored in a single game in their 90-54 win over Tulsa. The 90 points scored also moves Oklahoma City into the number 6 spot for Most Points, Single Team, Game of all-time team records.
FORWARD MOTION: The Yard Dawgz host South Georgia on May 20th. It will be the first meeting between the two teams.
TEAM NOTES/TRENDS: At least one Yard Dawgz' receiver has four or more touchdowns in 4/5 of Oklahoma City's games.
