RedHawks Continue Series vs. Omaha-- The Oklahoma City RedHawks continue a 12-game homestand with game two of a four-game series against the Omaha Storm Chasers...Omaha lead the season series 7-6...The RedHawks are 6-3 in the current homestand, including a four-game sweep of the Memphis Redbirds and a 2-2 split with the Nashville Sounds..Four of the wins in the current homestand have been come-from-behind efforts...In the second half of the season, the RedHawks have posted an 18-18 record...Every game of the current homestand is against American Northern division opponents, the tightest division in the PCL...Oklahoma City enters Saturday in fourth place in the American Southern division, 15.0 games behind first place Round Rock...Omaha enters Saturday first place in the American Northern division, 5.0 games ahead of second place Memphis...

Tonight's Probable Pitchers-- Brad Hennessey (6G, 5GS, 0-2, 8.84) makes his sixth consecutive start with OKC this afternoon...Last time out on July 26, Hennessey allowed five earned runs and seven hits in 3.1 innings without a decision...Hennessey was signed in early June by the Astros, and after a short time in extended spring, made four relief appearances with Double-A Corpus Christi before a promotion to OKC...Hennessey spent the majority of his career in the Giants organization, a former first round pick out of Youngstown State...Omaha starter Mike Montgomery (20GS, 3-6, 5.47) makes the start today, looking for his first winning decision since July 1...On July 26, Montgomery gave up four runs on seven hits over four innings without a decision...Montgomery had an ERA above 7.00 in May and June and has posted a 4.39 ERA in the month of July...In two starts against OKC, Montgomery is 0-1 with a 5.25 ERA (7ER/12.0IP)...

Last Game: July 30 - Omaha Storm Chasers 5, OKC RedHawks 4-- Omaha survived 10 walks of RedHawks hitters in a 5-4 win over Oklahoma City before 7,793 Saturday night at RedHawks Field at Bricktown...Zach Miner (1-0) took the relief win for Omaha while Douglas Arguello (3-6) collected a tough-luck loss after allowing one unearned run in 2.0 innings...Omaha built an early 4-0 lead with a two-run first and two-run third inning....The RedHawks tied the game with a four-run fourth inning, capped off by a three-run double from Brian Bogusevic....Omaha scored an unearned run in the seventh inning for the deciding margin...Omaha pitchers walked 10 RedHawks hitters, but the RedHawks finished with only three hits, and 2-for-11 with runners in scoring position...

Abad Optioned to OKC-- Fernando Abad has been optioned to OKC, coming off the disabled list with shoulder tendinitis...Abad has made 13 appearances with OKC during 2011, posting a 1-2 record and 6.14 ERA (10ER/14.2 IP)...Abad last pitched on July 29 with the GCL Astros, dealing a scoreless inning with one hit in relief of starter Ryan Rowland-Smith...

Hawks Hitting in Homestand-- The RedHawks have collected at least nine hits in the first eight games of the current homestand before last night, and now have a .287 (86x299) average in nine games...The RedHawks are .286 (30x109) with runners in scoring position in the nine games, but have left 78 runners on base in the homestand...

Double Play Defense-- The Oklahoma City RedHawks lead the Pacific Coast League with 129 double plays...The next-closest team is Salt Lake with 125 double plays...Iowa is last in the PCL with 81 twin-killings...
