Tulsa Oilers News Release
TULSA, OK - The Tulsa Oilers return to home ice this weekend with three promotions planned for three games at the BOK Center.
After a season-long five-game road trip the Oilers begin a six-game home stand on Friday, January 10 at 7:35 p.m. against the Brampton Beast. Prior to the game, the Oilers will be collecting new and used blankets for Tulsa's Channel 8 Spread the Warmth Blanket Drive. The BOK Center doors open at 6:30 p.m. and all Oilers fans who donate a blanket will receive a coupon for a free burger at Whataburger. In the Tulsa area, on each and every night, more than 350 people spend the night at a homeless shelter with only the items they can carry. Many of those individuals are in need of warmth and comfort and the Oilers are privileged to play a small part in helping provide blankets during the cold winter months.
Saturday, January 11, the Oilers face off with the Beast once again on Youth Jersey Night at the BOK Center. With puck drop scheduled for 7:35 p.m., the doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the first 1,000 kids (age 12 and under) into the BOK Center will receive a FREE Oilers youth jersey courtesy of York Plumbing and 2News Works For You. The limited edition Oilers youth jerseys will go extremely fast so all fans are encouraged to arrive early to claim a spot in line.
The weekend concludes on Sunday, January 12 at 4:05 p.m. as the Oilers battle the Allen Americans in the 11th and final meeting of the regular season between the two clubs. Papa John's Family Packs (4 tickets to the game and a coupon for a large, one-topping pizza) are available for as low as $49 by calling the Oilers office at 918-632-7825. Immediately following the game, Oilers fans of all ages are invited to join the players for a post-game skate. It's a perfect opportunity for families and kids to take pictures, get autographs, and meet their favorite Oilers! Bring your own skates and skate for free or rent a pair of skates for only $3!
Sunday's game will also be the debut of the Oilers long-awaited alternate third jersey. The vintage look (image attached) features a script Oilers logo on a tan background with an oil can emblem on each shoulder. The orange, white, and blue accents pay tribute to the Oilers original color scheme of the early 1990's and the jerseys will be worn for each remaining Sunday home game this season.
For more information about any of these promotions or questions about tickets, please call the Oilers office at 918-632-7825 or log on to www.tulsaoilers.com.
