Tulsa Oilers News Release
The Tulsa Oilers have traded defenseman Adam Blanchette to the New Mexico Scorpions in exchange for future considerations.
Blanchette, 6-foot-1, 215 pounds split last season between the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees and the Oilers. In 63 combined games he had nine assists, and 114 penalty minutes.
Oilers coach Dan Hodge will discuss the trade, and the Oilers other off season moves as they prepare for their first Central Hockey League season in the BOK Center, this Saturday during the team's open house. The Oilers are having an open house from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the BOK Center on Saturday.
In addition to the BOK Center set up in a full hockey layout for the first time, fans will be able to enjoy a floor hockey game at 2:30 featuring area media personalities, meet the Oilers new Ice Girls team, enjoy the antics of the fire education clowns (complete with face painting), Jupiter jumps, be able to tour the Oilers lockerroom, and meet coach Dan Hodge, and several Oiler players.
Admission to the open house is free. BOK Center concession stands will be open with food available for purchase.
