Oilers at All-Star Break

Tulsa Oilers News Release


Stars Out: The Tulsa Oilers and rest of the Central Hockey Leauge pause for the all-star game on Wednesday in Rapid City. Defenseman Derek Eastman and athletic trainer Stuart Nichols, A.T.C., L.A.T., will represent the Oilers on Team CHL which takes on the defending Ray Miron President Cup champion Rapid City Rush. Regular season action will resume for the Oilers on Friday when they host the Arizona Sundogs and host the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs on Saturday. Both games begin at 7:35 at the BOK Center. All games can be accessed via the internet at www.tulsaoilers.com and CHL TV.

Retroaction: This weekend is the Oilers annual "Turn Back The Clock Weekend". The Oilers will wear special retro jerseys in each game. The jerseys will be auctioned after Saturday's game.

Split Weekend:The Oilers split their two games last weekend, winning at Quad City 4-2, and losing at Missouri 3-2.

2 X 20: Chad Costello and Jack Combs are tied for the Oilers goal scoring lead each with 20 goals on the season. They are tied for fourth in the CHL in goals. Costello is also riding a seven game point streak with seven goals and nine assists for 16 points in that stretch. He is third in the league in scoring with 20 goals and 31 assists for 51 points.

The Call: Defenseman Tom Dignard didn't play for the Oilers last weekend as he got called to the Lake Erie Monsters of the American Hockey League, and played three games for them.
