Tulsa Oilers News Release

Tulsa Oiler fans will get an early look at an old nemesis, and a new foe this season, as the Oilers will host two preseason games.

The Oilers will play the Oklahoma City Blazers on Thursday October 12th and will host the expansion Rocky Mountain Rage on Saturday October 14th. Both games will be at the Oilers Ice Center (64th and Mingo) and start at 7 p.m.

All seating for the exhibition games will be general admission with tickets priced at $10. The Oilers will conclude their preseason games playing in Oklahoma City at the Blazers Ice Centre on Sunday October 15th at 2 p.m.

"The exhibition games are a big part of our training camp," Oilers coach Butch Kaebel said. "This is going to be a very competitive training camp, and this schedule is the best way to evaluate players in game situations. And with the seats at the Oilers Ice Center right by the ice, the fans are on top of the action and it's really a great atmosphere."

The Oilers begin the regular season on Friday October 20th in Wichita. Their home opener is Saturday October 28th at 7:35 p.m. also against Wichita.

Oiler season tickets for the 2006-07 season are now on sale. The prices are the same as the 2005-06 season, ranging from $300 to $475. The Oilers have also instituted an automatic payment plan to make purchasing season tickets even easier and more convenient. Also new this year is a 10 game flex pack. For more information call the Oilers at (918) 632-7825.
