
Oilers Acquire Haltiwanger from Sugar Skulls

Tulsa, Okla. - Tulsa Oilers Football, a proud member of the IFL and powered by Community Care, made their second trade with the Tucson Sugar Skulls this week, by dealing "Future Considerations" in exchange for defensive lineman Shaheem Haltiwanger.
Haltiwanger, makes his way to Tulsa after signing with the Tucson Sugar Skulls back on October 30, 2023. The new Oilers' lineman has not been active in a game this season as Tucson has not played their season opener.
The 6'3, 270 lbs. defensive lineman played college football at Towson picking up 19 tackles and 1.5 sacks in 10 games with the Tigers.
Prior to Towson, the Lexington, South Carolina native played at South Carolina State University, also appearing in 10 games, recording 32 tackles, six tackles for loss including two sacks and earning Phil Steele's preseason and postseason All-MEAC team.
Tulsa will head into a bye week, but return for their home opener against Iowa Barnstormers at the BOK Center on April 6, 2024, at 7:05 p.m. CST. The first 1000 fans will receive a Tulsa Oilers 3'x5' house flag.
