
Oil Kings Select Alistrov Second Overall in 2018 CHL Import Draft

(Edmonton, AB) - The Edmonton Oil Kings with the second overall selection in the 2018 CHL Import Draft, selected left-winger Vladimir Alistrov of Team Belarus (Belarus2).
Alistrov, 17, played in 50 games with Team Belarus this past season on both the U17 and U18 teams putting up 70 points (31G, 39A).
The Belarus native also played for Team Belarus in the 2018 World Junior Hockey Championship collecting 7 points (3G, 4A) in five games played.
"We are very excited to have Vladimir join the Oil Kings family," said Oil Kings President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Kirt Hill. "He is a winger that has speed, size and plays with skill. He had an exceptional tournament at the U18 World Championships and we look forward to seeing him at training camp in August."
