
Oil Kings Robertson Named to Team Canada Roster for 2018 Hlinka Gretzky Cup

(Calgary, AB) - Edmonton Oil Kings defenceman Matthew Robertson has been named to Team Canada's roster for the upcoming 2018 Hlinka Gretzky Cup presented by RAM. Hockey Canada made the announcement today in Calgary, naming 22 players to their roster, which will compete for gold August 6-11 at Rogers Place in Edmonton and Servus Arena in Red Deer.
Last season, Robertson collected 24 points (7G, 17A) in 67 games played with the Oil Kings. The Sherwood Park, AB native represented Team Canada at the 2017 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge this past November finishing the tournament with 6 points (2G, 4A) and named to the 2017 World Under-17's All-Star Team.
In addition to Robertson, Oil Kings property Jackson Jutting will also be participating in the tournament with the United States. The Savage, Minnesota native spent the 2017-18 season with the Prior Lake Lakers (USHS-MN).
