
Ohka's 9 K's pace Charlotte in 6-3

FORT MILL, S.C. - July 31, 2008 - Louisville's âbats' were helpless against the pitching of Tomo Ohka as the Knights cruised to a 6-3 win over the Bats. Ohka (3-10, 4.23) struck out nine Louisville batters in 6 1/3 innings of work. Jason Childers (S, 11) picked up his 11 save of the season striking out four.
Bobby Livingston (0-2, 5.89) took the loss for the Bats.
The Knights struck early in the bottom of the 1st, a Chris Getz single to center scored Jason Bourgeois from second. All but two nights players had a hit on the night. Only nine runs total were scored despite 29 hits in the game.
The Knights will face the Louisville Bats for the last time this season tomorrow night as the Knights put RHP Jack Egbert (3-9, 4.59) on the mound to face Bats starter RHP Justin Mallett (4-2, 4.58). Game time is 7:15.
