Buffalo Bandits News Release
Buffalo, N.Y. (March 24, 2004) â Buffalo Bandits General Manager Kurt Silcott announced today that the team has acquired defenseman Andy Ogilvie from Vancouver in exchange for Greg Floris and a conditional draft selection. As is club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"Andy will definitely boost the intensity in our locker room," said Silcott. "He was with us last year so he knows Darris' system, knows the guys on the team and should fit right in right away. Hopefully his presence will give us an added spark. His leadership style is exactly what you need at playoff time."
Ogilvie begins his second campaign in Buffalo after appearing in seven games for the Ravens this season, scoring three goals and four assists. Ogilvie led Vancouver in penalties (10) and was tied for second in penalty minutes (23). As a Bandit, the All-Star defenseman amassed 54 points (7G, 47A) and 201 penalty minutes in 44 career-games. He is currently ranked third in the Bandits' franchise record book in penalty minutes.
The Buffalo Bandits take on the Toronto Rock at the HSBC Arena on Saturday, March 27, at 7:30 PM. Ticket packages are available by calling the Buffalo Bandits Ticket Office at 1-888-467-2273, or fans can purchase packages at the HSBC Arena Box Office or any Tickets.com locations.
