
Chris Cercy nets National Lacrosse League Rookie of the Week Honors

SAN JOSE â The National Lacrosse League announced March 24 that San Jose Stealth forward Chris Cercy was voted as Rookie of the Week for his performance in a 15-11 victory over Vancouver on Saturday, March 20 at HP Pavilion.
Cercy, 25, won 19 of 29 face offs and registered one assist in the 15-11 win over Vancouver.
This season Cercy has posted three points (1 goal, 2 assists) in 10 games with the Stealth. He has won 139 of 277 face offs posting a .502 face off percentage.
This marks the first time that Cercy and Stealth have been honored by the League with the Rookie of the Week Award. The weekly Player Awards are determined by a vote of the General Managers and Head Coaches of the League's ten member clubs.
