
Ochoa, Pardo And CabaÃas Highlight Club America's Roster For Match Against Fire

CHICAGO, IL (April 16, 2009) - Club America manager Jesus Ramirez has announced the team's roster for the upcoming international exhibition match against the Chicago Fire Wednesday, April 29 (7:30 p.m. CT) at TOYOTA PARK. Marquee stars Guillermo Ochoa, Pável Pardo and Salvador Cabañas are among the Club America squad that will face off against their former teammate, Cuauhtémoc Blanco, and the Chicago Fire. More details about Club America's itinerary while in Chicago and media availability will follow next week.
The April 29 match will mark the first time that Chicago Fire designated player and Mexican International Cuauhtémoc Blanco has faced his former club as a member of the Chicago Fire and the first time he has faced them outside of Mexico.
Tickets for the match are available starting at $26 through all Ticketmaster outlets, online at www.ticketmaster.com, at the TOYOTA PARK Box Office, by calling 888-MLS-FIRE, or by visiting www.chicago-fire.com. The exhibition is included in Chicago Fire season ticket packages and Ten Game Plans.

ABOUT CHICAGO FIRE SOCCER
Chicago Fire Soccer was founded on October 8, 1997 as a Major League Soccer expansion team. The Fire won the MLS Cup in its inaugural season in 1998 and was crowned the champion of U.S. Soccer's national tournament, the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, in 1998, 2000, 2003 and 2006. In June 2006, the Fire moved into its world-class home of TOYOTA PARK, located in Bridgeview, IL.

Club de Fútbol América is a Mexican soccer club based in Mexico City. Club America is one of the most successful teams in Mexican soccer having won 10 championships and earning the distinction of being one of just two clubs to never have been relegated to the league's Primera "A" second division. The club colors have been yellow and blue since the team was founded in 1916 and the team mascot is an eagle giving the team the nickname of "Las Aguilas". Through nearly a century of play, "Las Aguilas" have had many notable players on the roster including the Fire's own, Cuauhtémoc Blanco who appeared for the club in 333 games, tallying 125 goals.
