Ocho de Mayo and Frisbee Dogs Scheduled for Upcoming Homestand

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - The Charlotte Stone Crabs baseball team is back in town on Thursday, May 7, for a six-game homestand against the Palm Beach Cardinals (St. Louis Cardinals) and Jupiter Hammerheads (Florida Marlins) at Charlotte Sports Park.

The homestand features $1 beer specials on Thursday and Friday, America's Best Frisbee Dogs on Saturday, $1 hot dogs on Monday and free food vouchers for seniors on Tuesday.

The Stone Crabs take on the Palm Beach Cardinals on Thursday, May 7, which means it's a Thirsty Thursday presented by Icehouse Pub at the ballpark with $1 domestic drafts and $2 domestic bottles. A pre-game concert featuring a local artist will also take place starting at 6:00 p.m. when gates open until the game starts at 7:05 p.m.

The series continues on Friday with Ocho de Mayo presented by Corona where all Corona products in the ballpark are just $1. The fiesta starts when gates open at 6:00 p.m. and the game starts at 7:05 p.m.

Saturday's series finale against the Cardinals features America's Best Frisbee Dogs, a traveling entertainment act with a name that fits their description. The dogs perform a wild stunt show in-between innings that has entertained many NBA, NFL and Minor League Baseball teams. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. and first pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

Charlotte opens a three-game set with the Jupiter Hammerheads on Monday, May 11, which marks the first Dollar Dog Night of the season. Fans can enjoy $1 ballpark hot dogs courtesy of Red Hot Chicago during every Monday home game. First pitch is at 7:05 p.m. with gates opening at 6:00 p.m.

The teams square off again on Tuesday, May 12, for Seniors Eat Free Tuesday. During every Tuesday home game, all fans 55 and older receive a voucher for a free hot dog, bag of chips and soft drink with the purchase of a game ticket. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. with first pitch at 7:05 p.m.

The homestand concludes on Wednesday, May 13, with gates opening at 6:00 p.m. and first pitch at 7:05 p.m. for a Chick-fil-A Winning Wednesday. If the Stone Crabs win, every fan in attendance receives a coupon for a free item at Chick-fil-A.
