LANCASTER – For the second day in a row, the Oaks gave up a big inning early and went on to defeat, 12-2 Tuesday in Lancaster.

Starting pitcher Jeff Francis survived only two innings and allowed eight runs on ten hits to suffer his sixth loss of the season.

Lancaster opened an 11-0 lead on a three run homer by Jamie Jones off reliever Isaac Pavlik in the fifth inning. Jones also had an RBI double in the first inning when Lancaster collected seven hits and sent ten to the plate. Six of those hits were singles.

Melvin Rosario batted ninth in the Oaks lineup and became the first Oaks to reach base when he hit an opposite field single in the bottom of the third. Rosario also drove in the Oaks first run on a double in the fifth that followed a single by Dan Conway. With two more singled later in the game, Rosario finished 4-for-4.

Jeff Winchester homered past the 410-foot sign in centerfield in the seventh inning. It was Winchester's third home run of the season and cut the lead to 12-2.

Sean Green pitched two scoreless innings and combined with Alex Serrano, who threw the ninth to retire the last nine JetHawk hitters in order.
