Oakley CHL Goaltender of the Week Announced

TEMPE, AZ (November 9, 2010) -The Central Hockey League announced today that Laredo's Torrie Jung has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Goaltender of the Week for the period ending November 7, 2010.

The rookie goaltender won both starts last week stopping two of the league's most potent offenses in the Odessa Jackalopes and Rapid City Rush. The Nanaimo, British Columbia native stopped 68 of 72 shots for a .944 save percentage. He made 32 saves in the Bucks 4-2 win versus the Jackalopes and 36 saves in their 5-2 win over Rapid City. Both goals allowed versus the Rush were power play scores.

On the season, Jung is unbeaten in three starts and is tied for the league lead with a .948 save percentage and second with a 1.67 goals against average.
