
Oakland Panthers DB Signs with Canadian Football League Team

OAKLAND, CA -ÃÂ The Oakland Panthers have announced that DBÃÂ Marloshawn Franklin Jr.ÃÂ has signed a contract with the Montreal Alouettes of the CFL.
Franklin, a 6'1" 190lb native of Detroit, MI, played Defensive Back collegiately at UC Berkeley. Franklin played previously with the (CFL) BC Lions and becomes the second member of the Panthers to sign with the CFL following DL Charles WilliamsÃÂ who signed with the Ottawa Redblacks in January.
"This is an amazing opportunity to play for the Alouettes in the CFL. Marloshawn is incredibly talented and a tremendous football player," stated Panthers Head Coach Kurt Bryan. "The Alouettes are very lucky to have Marloshawn, and we wish him all the best!"
