NYPL All-Star Game to Feature Plenty of Fun August 13 & 14

(STATE COLLEGE, Pa.) - - The fun surrounding the 2018 New York-Penn League All-Star Game presented by the Central PA Convention & Visitors Bureau will include a pair of star-studded events leading up to the annual showcase of baseball's future stars on Tuesday, August 14. The festivities kick off with a Monday night All-Star Tailgate Gala presented by Reinhart Foodservice, followed by Tuesday's All-Star Celebrity Softball Game featuring gridiron great Ki-Jana Carter.

The All-Star Tailgate Gala will present the chance to meet and greet local legends and NYPL All-Stars under the lights at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park on August 13. The gala event will take a Happy Valley specialty and kick it up a notch, with plenty of games, musical entertainment and delicious food, including several carving stations from Reinhart Foodservice serving up prime tailgating fare.

Tickets for the All-Star Tailgate Gala presented by Reinhart Foodservice will go on sale starting at 9 a.m. on Thursday, May 10, and will be available online at StateCollegeSpikes.com, by phone at (814) 272-1711, and in person at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.

Fans will then enjoy a jam-packed day of fun on Tuesday, featuring the All-Star Celebrity Softball Game, with the contingent of local superstars and media celebrities headlined by legendary running back Ki-Jana Carter. More participants in the All-Star Celebrity Softball Game will be announced as the calendar gets closer to the event.

The baseball world will descend on State College for the 2018 New York-Penn Leagu All-Star Game presented by the Central PA Convention & Visitors Bureau on Tuesday, August 14. The Spikes will be represented on the South squad for the game as they take on the North squad, and the action starts when gates open to fans at 3 p.m. Both the North All-Stars and South All-Stars will take batting practice and sign autographs for fans, with several All-Star Celebrity Softball Game participants also available for autographs leading up to the game.

Great seats for the 2018 NYPL All-Star Game presented by the Central PA Convention & Visitors Bureau are still available, with single-game tickets for all 39 games on the Spikes' 2018 home schedule going on sale Thursday, May 10 at 9 a.m. Tickets can be purchased online at StateCollegeSpikes.com, by phone at (814) 272-1711, and in person at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.
