New York City FC News Release

New York City FC have clinched a place in the 2021 Audi MLS Cup playoffs following Saturday's 3-1 win against Inter Miami CF.

The Boys in Blue kicked off the day with an emphatic victory on the road against Phil Neville's men, and that turned eyes to games involving Red Bulls, D.C. United, Orlando City, and Atlanta United.

NYCFC had several possible routes to securing a spot in the postseason and in the end, a 3-1 victory for Columbus Crew against D.C. United was enough to see the Boys in Blue across the line and into the playoffs for the sixth consecutive season.

Ronny Deila's side currently have 50 points from 33 games, with their final match of the regular season taking place on Sunday, November 7, against Philadelphia Union (you can purchase tickets for the game here). The team will be hopeful of securing home-field advantage in the playoffs with a victory against the Union.
