The Stars are still looking for their third win of the season. They enter the match with a 2-7-1 record and sit in fifth place in USL Conference standings. AC St. Louis enters with a 1-6-1 record and is in last place in NASL Conference standings.

Both teams are fresh off defeats at the hand of the Tampa Bay Rowdies, who defeated AC St. Louis 3-0 May 22 and the Stars 3-1 May 27. The loss to Tampa Bay evened the Stars' season series with the Rowdies at a game apiece. The Stars defeated Tampa Bay 1-0 at home April 24, but have not won since then.

AC St. Louis' sole win of the season came on May 1, a 1-0 decision over Crystal Palace Baltimore.

The two day turnaround marks the shortest span between matches for the Stars, who haven't played at home since May 15 when they played the Miami FC Blues to a draw.

Match Notes

-Neil Hlavaty scored his second goal of the season at Tampa Bay May 27. The goal ties him with teammate Brian Cvilikas as the Stars' leading goal scorers. Daniel Wasson assisted on Hlavaty's goal, which was his second assist of the season.

-Defenseman Kyle Altman was substituted in the 85th minute of the match against Tampa Bay, which marks the first time he has been removed from a game. Until that point he had played all 895 minutes of Stars' matches.

-Matt Van Oekel got his first start of the season in goal against Tampa Bay May 27.
