NSC Minnesota Stars Finalize Kickoff Times for 2011 Home Schedule
February 7, 2011 - North American Soccer League (NASL)
Minnesota United FC News Release
BLAINE, Minn. (FEBRUARY 7, 2011) - The NSC Minnesota Stars announced Monday the completion of the home schedule including kick off times for the 2011 North American Soccer League season. All 14 league home games will be played at the National Sports Center Stadium in Blaine, Minnesota with 13 of the 14 home games starting at 7:30 p.m.
All games will kick off at 7:30 p.m. except the August 27 match against the Montreal Impact, which will kickoff at 7:05 p.m. to help accommodate Radio Canada, which will televise the game nationally in Canada. Although most games are on weekends, a consistent start time was important to the team, and the later start time will help ease traffic woes for the team's weekday matches.
The July 4 match up will correspond with Blaine's Blazin' Fourth festival. Fans will be treated to prime seats for the city's annual fireworks display following the game. The team will also play two matches during the Schwan's USA Cup tournament hosted by the National Sports Center.
