Omaha Storm Chasers News Release

PAPILLION, NE - The Omaha Storm Chasers and Ovations Food Services are pleased to announce a fundraising initiative for not-for-profit groups during the 2011 season at Werner Park.

Local community organizations are invited to work one of the ballpark's five concessions stands and will be rewarded with a percentage of profits during the night they work. These groups will be among the first to work at brand-new Werner Park, which will host 72 Storm Chasers baseball games and a variety of other events throughout the year.

"This is a great opportunity for members of the Omaha-area community to work at the ballpark and earn money for their organization," said Lou Sinos, the General Manager of Food Services for Ovations at Werner Park. "Really their only obligation is to provide volunteers and we'll help them out from there."

The Storm Chasers and Ovations Food Services have worked hard to create a fan-friendly menu at Werner Park in 2011, including several specialty food items in addition to the traditional ballpark fare. Fans will be treated to Omaha Steak sandwiches, pizza from Extreme Pizza, grilled corn on the cob, a gourmet Reuben sandwich, macaroni and cheese at the kid's concession stand near the Centris Family Fun Zone, Pepsi products and Quality Brands beverages in the Downdraught Bar.

Interested not-for-profit groups are encouraged to contact Sinos to schedule their dates for the season, which begins on Friday, April 15 with the inaugural Storm Chasers game at Werner Park.
