 Round Rock Express News Release
The Round Rock Express will host its 2011 Open House and Fan Spring Training Saturday, March 5, at The Dell Diamond and United Heritage Center. The event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., is free to the public.
There will be a baseball skills showcase and fans will be able to take batting practice and shag fly balls. Fans also will be able to take tours of The Dell Diamond, which has undergone many changes during the offseason. Additionally, individual game ticket sales for both regular-season games and the Express exhibition games against the Texas Rangers (March 30) and Frisco RoughRiders (April 5) will be available for purchase at The Dell Diamond ticket office starting at 9 a.m.
"This is a great day for our fans to come out and get in the baseball spirit before the season starts," said Express General Manager George King. "Our affiliation switch to the Texas Rangers was not the only change at The Dell Diamond. There are several new looks at the park from the redesigned suites and Railyard, to the new concert stage, to signage with our new logo. We are excited for the 2011 season, and Express fans will be just as excited after spending a day at The Dell Diamond."
