January 17, 2007 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs News Release
BOSSIER CITY, LA -- A three game winning streak appeared to be in jeopardy for the Northern Conference All Stars in the 2007 Dodge CHL All-Star Game on Wednesday night at CenturyTel Center. Showing tremendous resilience, the Northern Conference scored five unanswered goals en route to a 9-6 win on Wednesday night.
Jeff Christian scored the game winning goal for the Northern Conference All-Stars, one of his three points of the evening. The Northern Conference MVP went to Rio Grande Valley's Matt Medley representing the Tulsa Oilers. He had three points and finished plus five in the game. The Southern Conference MVP was awarded to Corpus Christi Goaltender Brent Zelenewich who stopped nine of ten shots in the second period.
This marks the fifth time in six years that the Northern Conference has beaten the Southern Conference and just the second time in the six year format of the game that the home conference has won.
