
Rocky Mountain Rage and Broomfield Event Center Selected to Host 2008 CHL All-Star Game

Broomfield, Colo. - The Central Hockey League announced at last night's annual All-Star Banquet that the Rocky Mountain Rage and Broomfield Event Center have been selected to host the 2008 CHL All-Star Game.
"We are extremely pleased to name the Rocky Mountain Rage and Broomfield, Colo., as hosts for the 2008 Central Hockey League All-Star Game," said CHL President Brad Treliving. "We are confident the Rage and Broomfield will serve as outstanding hosts for our annual mid-season classic."
"On behalf of the Rage and the city of Broomfield, we're honored that the CHL selected our organization to host next season's All-Star Game," said Broomfield Sports and Entertainment President Trey Medlock. "We look forward to showing off the beautiful new Broomfield Event Center to the rest of the league and are excited for our fans to be able to enjoy the talent and skill of the best and the brightest players that this level of professional hockey has to offer."
Third-year forward Mark Wires, who is tied for the team lead in scoring with 24 points (10g-14a), will represent the Rage and the Northern Conference against the Southern Conference All-Stars during tonight's 2007 CHL All-Star Game at the CenturyTel Center in Bossier City, La.
Rocky Mountain begins the second half of its season on the road this Friday and Saturday against the Corpus Christi Rayz and Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees. Fans can catch the live play-by-play action from both games on KLZ 560 AM beginning with the pre-game show at 5:50 p.m. MST on Friday and 6:20 p.m. MST on Saturday.
The Rage then return home on Tuesday, Jan. 23, to host the defending President's Cup Champion Laredo Bucks at Broomfield Event Center at 7:05 p.m.
Single-game tickets for all Rage home games are on sale with prices ranging from $15-$40 per seat.
