Chuck Crumpton started out the game shaky, but settled down after 2 innings to pitch 5 scoreless innings, allowing 8 hits, 2 earned runs, and no walks in 7 innings of work. Alex Santos, despite a Wild Pitch, shut down the Jackals in the eighth and ninth to record his second save. Wilton Veras added to his .325 average, going 2-4 on the day with 2 RBI for the Jackals. But the difference maker today was Olivier Lepine, hitting a 2-run Homerun for Les Capitales in the fourth, putting Quebec ahead for the rest of the game.

W: Derek Anderson (3-1) L: Trevor Marcotte (0-2) S: None

The Rox only needed as many runs as Jake Daubert drove in to win today, but they got a few insurance runs from the rest of the team as they beat the Aces 8-4, winning their sixth straight. Derek Anderson pitched 7 strong innings for Brockton, allowing 3 earned runs, striking out 4 and walking none. Trevor Marcotte got shellacked by the Rox, allowing all eight of their runs on nine hits and four walks in four and two-thirds innings. The game was blown open early, with Brockton opening up a 5-2 lead by the end of the third. The Aces would come as close as 5-3 by the end of the fourth, but Brockton would answer with 3 more runs in the top of the fifth to put the game out of reach. Daubert accounted for half of Brockton's scoring, going 4-5 with 4 RBI, 3 Runs scored, 2 HR and a triple, making him the league leader in HR.

Adam Shorsher ended the Cutters' small ball, going deep with his second homerun of the year, a 2-run shot, making the game 5-2. Defensive miscues plagued the Lumberjacks, as their three errors led to 3 Cutters' runs, meaning the difference between victory, and their sixth loss in a row.
