MADISON, WI. - North Carolina FC did not finish the way they wanted to after a 0-3 loss on the road to Forward Madison FC at Breese Stevens Field. With over fifty percent possession throughout the match, North Carolina still came up short on the offensive side of the match.
North Carolina came out strong in the first half however they couldn't seem to keep their composure as Madison came in strong late in the first half to tally their first goal of the game in the extra time. With only nine shots during the game, Forward Madison outshot them by three.
Madison defined their lead in the second half with a goal from Prentise and Crull. Although with physical play and multiple yellow cards North Carolina couldn't get one in the back of the net. Madison's goalkeeper wasn't budging and determined to keep the clean sheet for himself and his team. North Carolina still remains on the top of the table but will be searching for the win as their road stretch comes to an end.
