Blaine, Minn. - The St. Cloud Norsemen open the 2021-22 season, presented by Premier Real Estate, at the North American Hockey League Showcase at the Schwan's Super Rink in Blaine, Minn. on Sept. 15 against the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks.

Defensively, the Norsemen see goaltender Joshua Langford (Maine) returning to the backstop, while defensemen Nick Young, Gunnar Johnson and Broten Sabo are among those back on the blue line.
Several new faces of note include forward tenders Jackson Bisson and Kade Peterson, along with defensemen Sam Duerr (Maine), Duke Kiffin, John Opilka (St. Cloud State) and goaltender Ethan Dahlmeir.
The Norsemen, like the other NAHL squads, are in the process of narrowing the training camp roster down to the regular season lineup, with different skaters and goalies working towards securing a roster spot.
St. Cloud is coached by former NHL player and Olympian Corey Millen, in his second season with the Norsemen. The Minnesota Gopher alum is joined by two assistants on his coaching staff, Eric Schlie and SCSU grad Clark Kuster.
The Norsemen games at the NAHL Showcase along with the entire season will be broadcast on HockeyTV ($) by St. Cloud's play-by-play broadcaster Ashley Chase, on the Norsemen Network, presented by Lyon Sheet Metal & Heating. Tickets and information for the NAHL Showcase can be found here.
