
Norsemen Held Silent in Loss to Aberdeen

Aberdeen, SD - The St. Cloud Norsemen fell to the Aberdeen Wings 6-0 in the team's first contest of 2021 on Friday Night in Aberdeen, SD.
The Norsemen, while outshot during the opening frame, kept the Aberdeen offense at bay before Payton Matsui broke the deadlock and gave the Wings the lead with 2:17 left. Shortly after, Jordan Randall grew the lead to 2-0 before the end of the period.
Early in the second period, Nico DeVita kept the Wings' momentum going as he grew the lead to 3-0 before Thomas Manty added a fourth Aberdeen goal mid-way through the frame.
Aberdeen added two more goals in the third period from Spencer Schneider and Randall as the Wings solidified the 6-0 victory.
With the loss, the Norsemen drop to 3-8-0 and will take on the Aberdeen Wings on Saturday, January 15 at 7:15PM at the Odde Ice Center in Aberdeen. Mark Shelley will provide the Play-By-Play on the Lyon Sheet Metal & Heating Norsemen Network beginning at 7:10PM on HockeyTV.
