The Colorado Mammoth edged the Arizona Sting 18-17 in overtime on Friday at Glendale Arena and the high scoring affair produced two Week Six Player Award winners. Sting forward Craig Conn nabbed both the Overall and Offensive Player of the Week honors and Mammoth forward Dan Carey captured Rookie of the Week. On the other side of the ball Minnesota Swarm goaltender Nick Patterson was named the Defensive Player of the Week after holding the Edmonton Rush to six goals in a 7-6 road win.

Arizona Sting forward Craig Conn was named the Overall and Offensive Player of the Week after tallying 11 points in an 18-17 overtime home loss to the Colorado Mammoth. Conn notched eight goals and added three assists in the game but his efforts could not lift the Sting for the win as the team suffered its first loss of the season. Conn also collected five loose balls in the contest.

Minnesota Swarm goaltender Nick Patterson earned Defensive Player of the Week honors after holding the Edmonton Rush to six goals in a 7-6 road win for Minnesota in Week Six. With the win Patterson improved to 3-0 on the season. The three-year veteran recorded 40 saves and held the expansion Rush to 0-8 on the power-play in the victory. Patterson also recorded an assist, his first of the season, in the win.

Colorado Mammoth forward Dan Carey was named the Rookie of the Week for Week Six after tallying eight points in an 18-17 Overtime road win over the Arizona Sting. Carey scored a goal and added seven assists. The rookie assisted on the game-tying goal late in the fourth quarter that sent the contest into overtime. Carey also collected seven loose balls in the contest.

OVERALL & OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Craig Conn (Arizona) - (8G, 3A, 11Pts, 5LB) scored eight goals and added three assists for a total of eleven points and also collected five loose balls in a 18-17 OT loss to Colorado.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Nick Patterson (Minnesota) - (40 saves, 6GA, 1A) improved his record to 3-0 on the season by stopping 40 of 46 shots that he faced and also had one assist in a 7-6 win over Edmonton; held the Rush to 0-8 on the power play.

ROOKIE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Dan Carey (Colorado) - (1G, 7A, 8Pts, 7LB) scored one goals and added seven assists for a total of eight points. Carey also collected seven loose balls in the 18-17 OT win over Arizona.

The Weekly Player Awards are determined by a vote of the General Managers & Head Coaches of the league's eleven member clubs.
