New York City FC is pleased to report an innovative global partnership deal between City Football Group and Nissan Motor Co. which will see the Japanese car manufacturer become the Official Automotive Partner of City Football Group and the Official Electric Vehicle Partner of New York City FC.

The major 5 year deal will see New York City FC using Nissan Electric vehicles in their Club operations and includes unique rights packages for New York City FC and the other territories of CFG's network of Clubs- Manchester City FC, Manchester City Women's team and Melbourne City.

The news was announced at an event earlier today at Nissan's global headquarters in Yokohama, Japan which was attended by the Chief Executive Officers of both organisations - Ferran Soriano and Carlos Ghosn.

This unique partnership follows the agreement with Nissan and City Football Group announced in May this year, which saw City Football Group assume a minority stake in the Nissan-owned Yokohama F- Marinos who play in Japan's J-League.

Speaking of the deal, Chairman Khaldoon al Mubarak, said:

"We are delighted to be working with Nissan as CFG's first group-wide global partner. Nissan is a leader in innovation and sustainability; values which are also at the heart of our own organisation.

Through our investment in, and support of, the Yokohama F- Marinos it has become very clear that Nissan and CFG also share a common passion and ambition for further growth and development. As a result, this new partnership presents us both with incredibly exciting opportunities to collaborate through football both in Japan and across the world.
