Kansas City, KS - Kansas City sent 15 batters to the plate in the bottom of the second inning and scored nine runs in the process en route to a 16-2 victory over Sioux Falls on Wednesday.
The Canaries answered with a run in the top of the third and another in the fourth but left the bases loaded in both innings. The Monarchs finished the game with seven unanswered runs and pounded out 21 hits in the contest.
Six different Canaries finished with a hit, led by Ozzie Martinez who had two. Sioux Falls is now 24-38 and will look to avoid the series sweep Thursday at 7:00pm.
