ROUND ROCK - Fernando Nieve appeared to be on track to a solid start Saturday, but the wheels began to fall off in the third inning and came completely undone against Albuquerque in a five-run five that catapulted the Isotopes to an 8-4 win.

The Express, which has dropped six of its last eight, scratched out six hits and put up three of its four runs against Ricardo Rodriguez in the third inning.

Nieeve, tagged with his third loss in three decisions, gave up six runs on seven hits, three walks and two strikeouts. The right-hander has allowed 14 earned runs over his last four starts, piling up a 7.13 ERA over the stretch.

He allowed one run on three hits through three innings in front of 10,801 fans at The Dell Diamond before Albuquerque used three hits to jump out to a 3-1 lead in the fourth.

Nieve issued two walks and a single and tossed two wild pitches before handing the ball over to reliever Jose Rodriguez with a 4-1 deficit and two on board. Rodriguez followed up by issuing two walks, tossing a wild pitch and letting a single and double turn into a seven-run lead for Albuquerque.

Round Rock closed the gap to four runs with three runs on five hits in the fifth, but didn't managed a hit over the final four frames.

The two teams face off for the fourth and final game of the series at The Dell Diamond at 2:05 p.m. on Sunday.
