Nicole from CW 59 to Attend Falcons Summer Blast

FRESNO, CALIF. - The Fresno Falcons announced today that Nicole from KFRE CW 59 will appear at Summer Blast 2008, presented by the U.S. Army. Summer Blast is Wednesday, June 18 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Valdez Hall, located next to Selland Arena. Nicole will assist Falcons head coach Matt Thomas with his Hockey 101 demonstrations during the event.

A native of Fresno, Nicole attended college at UC Irvine, and then worked for several entertainment programs in the Los Angeles area before returning to Fresno where she joined the KFRE CW 59.

Summer Blast features a food drive and jersey auction to benefit Poverello House. Admission to the event is free with the donation of non-perishable food. There will be live music, kids' games, Hockey 101 featuring Falcons Head Coach Matt Thomas, a silent auction, a live auction of the Falcons white jerseys from the 2007-08 season, free parking, and food.

Local businesses and organizations have the chance to interact face-to-face with fans at Summer Blast with the purchase of a corporate booth. The purchase of a booth includes: one PA announcement per hour at the event, inclusion on all event-related press releases, prize-drawing opportunity, sampling opportunity to all attendees, logo on 500 t-shirts, and vendor listing on 1,000 handouts at the event. The Falcons return downtown to Selland Arena for the 2008-09 season. The home opener is Friday, October 24 against the Bakersfield Condors at 7:30 p.m. Season Ticket packages start at just $432, and are now available by calling the Falcons at (559) 485-7825.
