Kannapolis got a strong performance of their own from Joe Serafin, as the southpaw gave up three runs in 6 1/3 innings. Serafin (1-1) took the loss, while also fanning five without a walk.
The Tourists broke the game open against Kyle Bellamy in the seventh inning. Delta Cleary hit his sixth home run of the season off of the right-hander to turn a 2-0 Asheville lead into a 4-0 deficit.
