Niagara Daredevils lose home opener in OT

November 8, 2005 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Niagara Daredevils News Release

St.Catharines, Ontario - November 7, 2005 The Niagara DareDevils fell a little short of a complete success at their home opener againt the Maryland Nighthawks. Despite being 20 points behind heading into the 4th quarter, the DareDevils managed to take the lead with only seconds left in regulation time. Unfortunately, the Nighthawks equalized the game with 1.6 seconds remaining.

Despite the 113-106 loss, the DareDevils excited the crowd with a competitive game and some great dunks by Reggie Warren. Reggie lead the team with 28 pts in the contest, followed closely by Davin White and Leroy Hickerson with 21 pts each. The team demonstrated great potential and with more practice and time they will definitely be a strong force in the league.

The DareDevils will take the week off between their games to prepare for their next home game on November 12, 2005.

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
