ABA introduces new look website

November 8, 2005 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release

Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) has introduced a new look to its popular website (www.abalive.com) with a host of new features. According to Joe Newman, ABA CEO, "We were amazed at the high level of interest in the ABA during the off season and fast growth again now that the season has started. Our website designers, Syphon Interactive, have done a great job for us - and the new look should make our website even more popular. Included in the changes are the listing of the Divisions, the highlighting of our ABA Store, and an easier, more fan-friendly way to navigate to the many different pages of interest."

In addition to updates and information about the 48 team league, the website also features ABA Auctions, featuring sports and entertainment memorabelia with proceeds going to not-for-profit causes and ABA Salute, a tribute to the US Military with proceeds also going to provide scholarships for the military and its families.

The popular Ask the CEO feature will continue and ABALIVETALK featuring Derrick Pearson continues to grow and can be heard each Saturday at 3pm EST. ABA Entertainment kicks off this month and regular updates will be featured. As ABA action unfolds, the photo gallery will enlarge and various leaders in league statistics will be posted regularly while team statistics will be found on ABA team website.

Scott Murdock of Syphon Interactive added, "Our approach to the website design is to make it very fan-friendly, easy to use, interesting, and to incorporate the things that ABA fans want. If you have comments or ideas, we'd be happy to hear them. Please email joenewman@abalive.com." For more information, visit www.abalive.com. -

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
