NHL Back on the Ice! Mechanics ready for second season
July 14, 2005 - International Hockey League 2 (IHL 2)
Motor City Mechanics News Release
As a professional hockey franchise we are elated to see the NHL get back on the ice this fall. Hockey promotes hockey and for the past year everything has been "a little off" here in Hockeytown. It has been our pleasure to work with some of the most talented professional hockey players in the world and we wish Chris Chelios, Derian Hatcher, Kris Draper, Sean Avery, and Bryan Smolinski the best of luck this fall with their existing or new teams.
The Mechanics compete in the United Hockey League, an outstanding brand of "AA" professional hockey, offering affordable family entertainment and unprecedented community involvement and fan access to our players. The Mechanics will still feature twenty of the most talented professional hockey players from around the world, and we look forward to adding on to our 12 game winning streak when we drop the puck against the Missouri River Otters in St. Louis on October 21.
The Mechanics open at home on October 28 against Kalamazoo and October 29 against the Port Huron Flags. Mechanics individual game tickets start at only $ 9.00. Season tickets are still available!
Thanks to all for your support! See you at the Garage in October!
