Fort Collins, CO - The Colorado Ice Indoor Football team is conducting their second open tryout for the 2009 season on Sunday, January 25th, 2009 from 11am-1pm at Fort Collins Soccer Club at OD's Sports Crossing in Fort Collins, CO. A final, invite-only tryout will be held in early February.

The Colorado Ice have received overwhelming interest from prospective players across the nation with the recent announcement that the Arena Football League (AFL) will not be playing a 2009 season; leaving the Colorado Ice's league, the Indoor Football League (IFL) as the largest and most prestigious professional indoor football league in North America. "The phone has been ringing off the hook with high-talent players calling for tryout information. The talent level in our league will only be second to the NFL; we expect a number of our players will get NFL training camp invites", stated Head Coach Collins Sanders.

The Ice will be conducting a combine-style tryout with height, weight, 40 yard dash, 225 bench x reps, vertical jump, and pro agility (right and left) tested. Additional position-specific drills will be conducted and supervised by Ice position coaches. Registration fees are $45 for pre-registered participants and $55 the day of the tryout. Pre-registered participants may pay with check or credit card, same day walk-up registration is cash only. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged as space is limited.
