
Justin Montgomery Returns to Wild

The Wichita Wild has signed another league all-star to their 2009 roster as defensive end Justin Montgomery has agreed to return to the squad. Montgomery was named to the 2008 United Indoor Football (UIF) All-Star team. This will mark Montgomery's third season of professional football
Justin played 11 games for the Wild in 2008 before leaving the team for a tryout in the Canadian Football League. Montgomery recorded 23.5 tackles and 1.5 sacks for the Wild. Following a short time in Canada, Montgomery joined the Bloomington Extreme of the UIF. Montgomery played in their final two regular season games and both of their playoff games including a loss in the UIF Championship.
Montgomery's first season of professional football was with the Wild in 2007.
The Smith Center, KS native played his college football at Kansas State. As a senior in 2003, Justin recorded 68 tackles and six sacks for the Big 12 Champions. For his efforts, Montgomery was named to the Associated Press All-Big 12 Team. In 2002, Justin played in all 13 games and compiled 26 tackles for the 11-2 Wildcats. Montgomery played in nine games as a sophomore and five games as a freshman.
