HARRISON, N.J. - New York Red Bulls II have signed midfielder Henry Wise to a USL Championship contract, pending league and federation approval, the club announced today.
Wise, 22, spent time at Queens Park Rangers F.C. and Arsenal F.C. during his youth career. The London, England native also appeared in 24 matches with Derby County FC's U-18's, where he logged over 1,300 minutes and scored two goals.
"We're excited to have Henry join the team," Sporting Director Denis Hamlett said. "We think he will have an impact in our midfield group and bring experience to the team for the rest of the season."
Most recently he spent time with Watford F.C.'s U-23's, while also logging an appearance in the FA Cup with the senior team.
"Henry is an exciting young player," Interim Head Coach Ibrahim Sekagya said. "We are happy to add him to our group and see him grow."
