
New York Red Bulls II Announce Roster Decisions for 2018

New York Red Bulls II News Release
HARRISON, N.J. - New York Red Bulls II have announced roster decisions following the conclusion of the 2017 season, the club announced today. The club has exercised options on four players and declined the options of two.
NYRB II has exercised the options of midfielder Andrew Tinari and defenders Noah Powder, Ethan Kutler, and Jordan Scarlett. Forward Douglas Martinez will return to his club, CD Vida in Honduras, following the end of his loan. New York declined options on defender David Abidor and goalkeeper Rafael Diaz.
The following players are now out of contract: defenders Tim Schmoll and David Najem, midfielder Florian Valot, and forwards Junior Flemmings and Stefano Bonomo.
"For the players that are moving on, I want to thank them for their hard work and wish them continued success in their careers," said NYRB II head coach John Wolyniec. "The best part of my job is getting to know and help impressive young men."
The club is in talks with Valot and Bonomo for the 2018 season. NYRB II defender Andrew Lombard remains under contract for the 2018 season, bringing the roster to five. Under Contract: Andrew Lombard
