
New York Red Bulls Announce New Hires and Promotions

HARRISON, N.J. (February 6, 2018) - New York Red Bulls announced today the hiring and promotions of the following front office personnel: Tom Bowden, Senior Director, Ticket Sales and Service; Darren Meyer, Senior Director, Marketing Partnerships and Premium Services; Logan Smith, Director, Strategy and Analytics; Justin Baier, Senior Manager, Marketing; and DJ McCaffery, Senior Manager, Facility Operations.
Bowden has been named Senior Director, Ticket Sales and Service, overseeing the department's strategy and execution. Having served four years with the Brooklyn Nets, he most recently held the title of Vice President, Ticket Sales & Service. During his time with Brooklyn Sports and Entertainment, Bowden was responsible for key initiatives such as extensions of multi-year premium seat contracts, secondary market partnerships and improving the new season ticket sales effort and results. The 13-year industry veteran also made his mark in MLS with Columbus Crew SC, where he spent three seasons as the club's Director of Client Services. The Springfield College (MA) graduate resides in Bloomfield, N.J. with his wife, Kristyn.
Meyer has been promoted to Senior Director, Marketing Partnerships and Premium Services, overseeing sponsorship marketing benefits and hospitality. He will also lead strategy for sponsor and luxury suite renewals. The 20-year industry veteran is entering his fourth season with the Red Bulls and has been instrumental in the club's continued growth of Partnership Marketing and Premium/Corporate Sales. Previously, Meyer was a member of the sponsorship departments of both the Brooklyn Nets and Brooklyn Sports and Entertainment, where he managed the founding partners of the Barclays Center. The Marist College graduate resides in Scotch Plains, N.J. with his wife Teresa and daughter Alexa.
Smith has been promoted to Director, Strategy and Analytics, steering the club's business analytics, strategy, CRM and fan research. Entering his fifth season with the club, Smith most recently held the position of Senior Manager, Marketing and Strategy. Prior to joining the organization, Smith worked for Red Bull North America as a Brand Marketing Graduate. The University of Oregon graduate now resides in Asbury Park, N.J. with his fiancée Anne.
Baier has been named Senior Manager, Marketing, guiding the team's creative vision, campaign development and traditional marketing efforts. Having spent over eight years with Brooklyn Sports and Entertainment, he served as the Senior Marketing Manager of Creative Services for properties including the Brooklyn Nets, Barclays Center, New York Islanders, Nassau Coliseum and Brooklyn Boxing. The Penn State University graduate resides in Wood Ridge, N.J. with his wife Amanda and newborn son Salvatore.
McCaffery has been promoted Senior Manager, Facility Operations, instrumental in managing and operating Red Bull Arena, Red Bull Training Facility and Montclair State University Soccer Park. He will also hold the title of Director of Operations for New York Red Bulls II and serve as Visiting Team Supporter Liaison for matches at Red Bull Arena. McCaffery has been with the club since 2007. The Montclair State University graduate resides in Secaucus, N.J.
