New York Liberty Waive Talia Caldwell

W YORK - The New York Liberty have waived center Talia Caldwell, the team announced today.

Caldwell was signed to training camp on April 22 and played in the team's first three preseason games. The 6-3 center spent the WNBA offseason playing overseas in Russia, where she averaged 11 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists per game. She played her collegiate career at University of California.

The Liberty will finish the preseason at Times Union Center in Albany, NY on Sunday, May 19 against the Connecticut Sun. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.
