
New York Liberty Waive Lorela Cubaj

NEW YORK - The New York Liberty announced today that the team has waived forward Lorela Cubaj.
After being selected No. 18 overall in the 2022 WNBA Draft from Georgia Tech and acquired via trade from the Seattle Storm, Cubaj appeared in 11 games to begin her rookie season with the Liberty where she averaged eight minutes, 0.7 points, 2.1 rebounds and 0.4 assists per game while shooting 33.3% (4-12) from the field.
Following the waiver, New York now has 11 players rostered ahead of their three-game West Coast trip, which will begin on Sunday, July 3 against the Los Angeles Sparks at 6 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network.
