New York Liberty Sign Linda Frohlich to Seven-Day Contract

Greenburgh, NY (July 10, 2004) - The New York Liberty has signed forward Linda Fröhlich to a seven-day contract, New York Liberty Senior Vice President and General Manager Carol Blazejowski announced today.

Fröhlich, a 2002 second round draft pick of the New York Liberty, spent two seasons with the Liberty. In her second year with the team, she averaged 3.2 points and 1.4 rebounds in 8.2 minutes per game while shooting .431 percent from the floor.

The 6-2 forward signed with the Phoenix Mercury during the 2003 off-season prior to being released on May 15, 2004.

Conditions of the contract were not released per team policy.

The New York Liberty basketball team, in its eighth year of operation with the 2004 season, is part of the Madison Square Garden, L.P. Cablevision Systems Corporation owns a controlling interest in the MSG L.P., which also include the New York Knicks (NBA), the New York Rangers (NHL), the Hartford Wolfpack (American Hockey League), the MSG Network, Fox Sports New York and the Madison Square Garden arena complex, located in the heart of the New York metropolitan area.
