New York Liberty Hosts "Dads & Daughters Day"

NEW YORK, NY - June 21, 2012 - The New York Liberty invite fans to Prudential Center on Sunday, June 24, for its annual "Dads & Daughters Day" game, presented by Chase. The Liberty will host a pregame Fan Fest at Championship Plaza starting at 2 p.m. before facing off against the Atlanta Dream at 4 p.m. Fans are encouraged to come out early to participate in the festivities, which will include interactive games and contests for the whole family on Championship Plaza. In addition, for only $79, fans can purchase special Dad & Daughter packages that include two (2) $60 tickets, a Liberty Dad t-shirt, a Liberty daughter t-shirt, and two entries to a BBQ on the plaza courtesy of Dinosaur Bar-B-Que - Newark. All fans in attendance will receive a Liberty poster, courtesy of Chase.

In addition, the fan-favorite Lil' Torches dance squad, the Liberty Torch Patrol and Maddie the Mascot will be on hand to entertain the crowd before they catch the game. Former and current Knicks' players, along with their daughters, will also be in attendance. They include Legends Earl "The Pearl" Monroe, Walt "Clyde" Frazier, John Starks, John Wallace and Cal Ramsey as well as current Knick J.R. Smith.

The Liberty is also encouraging fans to participate in its Twitter contest, for which premium tickets will be given as prizes, courtesy of Chase. Starting today, June 21, fans can compete for the opportunity to bring their dads to the game in style with the grand prize being four courtside tickets. Participants must Tweet a photo of their dad, along with a 140 character description of why he deserves to win the prize to @nyliberty using the hashtag #ChaseLibsDads. Submissions must be in by midnight on Friday, June 22, and contest winners will be announced on Saturday, June 24 at noon.

The Liberty are calling Prudential Center home for their 2012 season, the second of three seasons during which Madison Square Garden continues its historic, top-to-bottom Transformation. Prudential Center is conveniently located 15 minutes away from The Garden by train.
