On Thursday night, the New York Liberty (11-18) fell to the Seattle Storm (19-10), 85-75, in their third and final matchup of the 2021 regular season. With tonight's win, the Storm won the season series 2-1 and ended their three-game losing streak.
In Washington, the Liberty finished on 48.2% (27-56) shooting from the field, 47.8% (11-23) from three, and 90.9% (10-11) at the free throw line.
New York recorded 24 rebounds, 14 team assists, eight steals, three blocks, and capitalized on 12 points off the Storm's 13 turnovers. The game saw two lead changes and two ties.

PLAYER NOTABLES
Three Liberty players scored in double figures in tonight's game (Ionescu, Allen, Howard).
Sabrina Ionescu had another all-around performance finishing with a team-high 20 points and seven assists. In the opening period, she scored 12 points on a perfect 100% (5-5) shooting from the field, including 100% (2-2) shooting from three-point range which set a new career-high for first-quarter points. Tonight's 20-point performance marked her 17th game scoring in double figures this season, and eighth consecutive 10+ point outing following the Olympic break.
WNBA All-Defensive Team candidate, Rebecca Allen, totaled 17 points on 45.5% (5-11) shooting from the field along with two rebounds, two steals, and two blocks. Highlighted by her 11-point third quarter, tonight's performance marked Bec's fifth double-digit scoring game in her last six appearances.
In her return to Seattle, Natasha Howard finished the contest with 15 points, six rebounds, and two steals on 63.6% (7-11) shooting from the field.
Kylee Shook knocked down two threes and two free throws on 100% shooting from deep and the charity stripe for a total of eight points.
Three-time Rookie of the Month honoree Michaela Onyenwere recorded four points and two rebounds including 50% (1-2) shooting from deep.
2021 WNBA All-Star Betnijah Laney pulled down a team-high seven rebounds.
Breanna Stewart scored a game-high 33 points on 54.5% (12-22) shooting from the field, including 81.8% (9-11) shooting from the free throw line. She also added a game-high eight rebounds and a team-high five assists.
Jewell Loyd, who came into the game averaging 32 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game in the series, finished with eight points, seven rebounds, four assists, and four steals on 25% (3-12) from the field.
